About Dental Insurance

Dental insurance plans are an agreement typically between an employer and a dental insurance company that is offered to the employer’s employees. While it differs from traditional insurance like home owners, or car insurance, where a premium is paid for coverage in the event of loss or any unexpected damage. Premiums for those types of traditional insurance are usually based on assessed value and risk, and all necessary work or claims would be fully paid out minus any predetermined deductible. Most dental insurance plans have defined annual limits to benefits paid out and have defined frequency and limitations to benefits, independent of your actual individual needs or desires in achieving the level of health that you seek. Dental benefits are a form of payment or reimbursement that can help offset some costs of maintaining your oral health.

How Patient Dental works with insurance

Many of our patients have dental insurance plans. While we are not contracted with any dental benefits companies, we do work with and accept payment from most Dental PPO plans. As a courtesy to our patients, we will file insurance claims on their behalf. To best assist you, it is important to submit your current dental benefits information to our team ahead of your appointment so that we can look into the breakdown of benefits that your employer has purchased on your behalf from the insurance company. Patient Dental promises to provide you with the best possible personalized care, that will not be subject to limitations determined by insurance companies. We will continue to use the best materials, use high-quality dental labs, have modern equipment in an up-to-date facility, and hire the best team members available so that we can provide world-class care to our patients.

Financial Policy

Payment for services is collected at the time of treatment. We will prepare and submit forms to help assist you in obtaining the maximum benefits available. Any remaining balance for services rendered that remain after 60 days from the date of service (due to denied claims, delayed claims, change in benefits, loss of coverage or for any other reason) will be charged to the credit card on file. In the event that benefits are paid after the balance has been cleared, a refund or credit will be issued to the patient. We accept all major credit cards, personal check, cash and debit cards as forms of payment.
